Scenic has transformed our Crystal Dining venue into a private cooking emporium. The dedicated space will feature cooking stations, a cheese and wine cellar, fresh ingredients sourced from local markets and our cooking instructors will introduce you to regional recipes you’ll adore. We’ve even included a live camera and screen so that you won’t miss a thing as the chef prepares his dish. 
Our exclusive cooking classes will be a major highlight during a French River Cruise with Scenic. Along with a dedicated cooking space and the most appetizing recipes from the region, we will also be bringing on board a local chef to host a class. This renowned chef will bring to life the food of the region, share stories about his time in restaurants and help you whip up delectable French creations. And the best part of all will be the delicious tasting at the end of class.


When you cruise the Rhône river or through Bordeaux on our rebuilt Space-Ships, you’ll experience our exclusive Scenic Culinaire experience. France is the epicentre of cuisine and fine dining and Scenic Culinaire will allow our guests to participate in a series of on board cooking classes, taught by experts, featuring the finest in local ingredients and designed to immerse guests even further into the delights of French gastronomy.

In 1935, famed French food critic Curnonsky, dubbed the Prince of Gastronmy, described the city of Lyon as the 'world capital of gastronomy'. Taste local mustard in Dijon, take part in a Valrhona artisan chocolate workshop and tasting in Tournon or sample lavender cookies in the Lavender Museum in Ardèche. You can even embrace French cooking with a visit to a local market on our Shop with a Chef tour before returning to your ship for an on board Scenic Culinaire cooking class.

Enjoy dinner on board your Space-Ship before heading on shore for dessert canapés served with a digestif at Scenic Rouge. This stage spectacular, a tribute to the very best in French cabaret including the famous can-can, is held under the Scenic big top situated on the banks of the Rhône River in Lyon.
