Scenic Cycling

Exploring Europe and France from the seat of a bicycle has got to be one of the best ways to see these destinations. Scenic is introducing a range of exclusive cycling itineraries that cater to our guests who want to spend more time being active onshore in the great outdoors. We will have specialized bikes available, dedicated cycling guides, a bike mechanic and even a dedicated support vehicle that will follow every cycling group in case participants choose to not to cycle the full ride duration. They will also transport the bikes from location to location so that all the hassle is taken out of your trip. All you'll need to do is enjoy the ride.

Experience the Danube River

One of the most famous cycling paths in Europe, the Danube Path is utterly beautiful and not to be missed. Discover the extraordinary Wachau Valley, World Heritage-listed, it showcases monasteries, castles, ruins, quaint villages and vineyards.

Another cycling highlight will be our guided tour from Melk to Dürnstein. Winding alongside the Danube river, you'll enjoy picture postcard scenery and the chance to get to know your fellow cyclists as you cycle at a leisurely pace. Some of Europe’s most beautiful cities will also be explored on bike tours including elegant Vienna and magnificent Budapest.

Cycle Through the Bordeaux Region

Cycle through the famed Bordeaux region to discover a whole new side of France. This area boasts vast and breathtaking areas of natural beauty. With its network of freshwater lakes, expansive national parks and pristine beaches, Bordeaux is an enchanting mix of history and wilderness. Discover the unexpected as you cycle through France’s most popular destination, taking in the lush riverside scenery all the way to the shores of spectacular Arcachon Bay. Spend time meandering through idyllic villages, historic cities and wondrous landscapes. Every day offers up a new and inspiring view.

Arachon Bay

Situated on the northern tip of Europe’s longest coastal beach, Arcachon is the tranquil gem of France’s western coastline. Explore this beautiful beachside village at your own pace as you undertake one of our cycling tours.

Covering an area of 110 hectares of forest, reed beds, meadows, salt marshes and lagoons spreading to the shores of the Bassin d’Arcachon, is the Le Teich Bird Reserve. You’re invited to join our expert guide to explore the sanctuary, home to more than 250 species of birds.

Regarded as one of the most important environments in Europe for birdlife, a morning in the invigorating fresh air of the great outdoors is a memorable way to truly appreciate the richness of this area. During your cycling tour there will be plenty of time to take in the natural wonders as well as enjoy local market tastings such as the famed oysters of Arcachon.

Europe's Heartland

Our Danube river cycling itinerary offers up the chance to enjoy a range of cycling tours including a full day cycling excursion from the pretty Bavarian city of Passau to Austria’s creative city of Linz. You’ll spend all day on the Danube track including lunch in one of the prettiest locations you’ll encounter along the way. From Regensburg in southeast Germany, you’ll spend a day cycling along a trail of five rivers. And of course the astonishing beauty of the World Heritage-listed Wachau Valley is a cycling highlight.

Each night you'll be able to return to your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship to rest your tired muscles and enjoy fine world-class dining in our lovely dining venues such as Crystal Dining and L'Amour, along with local entertainment. You can also enjoy after-dinner drinks in our bar area or just simply relax in 5-star luxury in your spacious suite.
