  1. Day 1 - Guayaquil, Ecuador

    A world of wonder awaits as you start your journey with a two night Special Stay at your elegant hotel. Your haven of luxury in the centre of this busy port city offers the perfect place to relax before your adventure begins.

  2. Day 2 - Guayaquil

    This morning discover the city’s secrets on a guided tour. The afternoon is at leisure for you to relax, perhaps savour a coffee or chocolate tasting hosted by one of the hotel chefs, or explore the parklands of the hotel grounds and see the native birdlife. Join your Tour Director for a delicious welcome dinner this evening.

  3. Day 3 - Guayaquil > Galápagos Islands

    Fly to the Galápagos Islands. Settle into your air-conditioned stateroom with large picture windows on board the stylish and newly refitted La Pinta, your home for the next four nights. Over the coming days, on a range of included shore excursions, you will see a rich variety of landscapes, marine and land animals, and colourful birdlife, all still relatively untouched by man.

  12. Day 12 - Machu Picchu > Cuzco

    Learn how to make two of the country’s signature offerings: ceviche and pisco sour, during a cooking demonstration. After a day at leisure, marvel at the spectacular views from the glass dome carriages on your luxurious rail journey through the Andes on board the Belmond Hiram Bingham luxury train. Continue to the charming city of Cuzco and your luxurious hotel, in the heart of the historic centre. Your three night Special Stay is sure to be a highlight.

    The former capital of the Incan Empire, Cuzco is a city with incredible architecture. On a walking tour you will uncover the history of this World Heritage-listed site. Your final stop will be the imposing ruins of Sacsayhuamán fortress.

    Paracas is a town on Peru’s west coast. It’s known for beaches, like El Chaco, set on sheltered Paracas Bay. The town is a launch point for the uninhabited Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, pelicans and Humboldt penguins. Rugged, wildlife-rich Paracas National Reserve spans the desert, ocean, islands and the Paracas Peninsula. The peninsula’s Paracas Candelabra is a vast prehistoric geoglyph, etched into a hillside.

  20. Day 20 - Arica, Chile

    Chile’s northernmost city, Arica, is characteristically arid for the region, which is home to the world’s driest desert, the Atacama. Stark, barren, and filled with rocky outcrops, a visit to the dramatic landscape of the desert is a spellbinding experience.

  21. Day 21 - Iquique

    Iquique is a coastal city in northern Chile, to the west of the Atacama Desert.
    Take a stroll through Baquedano Street towards the centre of town and soak in the very Texas-like vibe of the town. The street’s faded wooden buildings with window shutters and grand doors will also have you expecting to see a cowboy pushing through a saloon doors at any moment.

  22. Day 22 - Isla Pan de Azucar

    The rugged shores of Isla Pan de Azucar (or Sugarloaf Island) are home to thousands of Humboldt penguins. The penguins come to this arid island to breed and spend their days fishing, swimming and diving. The waters around Isla Pan de Azucar also support kelp gulls, blackish oystercatchers, Peruvian boobies, pelicans, sea lions and the reclusive South American marine otter.

  23. Day 23 - At Sea

    Continue to relax on board today. Try a game of bridge or canasta in the Observatory Lounge or tempt your palate with a wine tasting.
