Scenic Neptune Wows Guests as it Explores Life Below the Waves

The images capture the intensity and breath-taking beauty of diving up to 980 feet below the ocean, showing guests on board during their deep-sea adventure on the custom-built U-Boat Worx Cruise Submarine. Scenic Neptune provides Scenic Eclipse guests a front row seat to sunken wrecks, marine and biological reserves and a sea floor, teaming with life in Antarctica.

For seamless visibility, Scenic Neptune’s acrylic spheres are constructed from a material which has the same refraction index as seawater, which means the barrier visually disappears underwater, providing an open and spacious feeling.

Scenic Neptune has internal climate control as well as a surround sound audio system, adding to the already comfortable dive. The craft, commissioned to meet international design standards, also maximum legroom and headroom without compromising on style.

Getting in and out of the submarine has been made easy with well-thought out engineering, such as ergonomically designed handles and very stable entry deck. Once inside, guests seat themselves in one of the two three-person pods, and enjoy spectacular views of their complete surrounding. Custom chairs are mounted on a swiveling platform allowing for a 280-degree view. The craft is also fitted with strong exterior lights that illuminate the sea’s treasures, allowing guests to take in every last detail.

Submarine Pilot Remy Izendooren has always had a passion for adventure and discovery, He has worked on more than 60 guest ship and charter yachts, visiting the Seychelles, Adriatic Sea, Greenland, Greece, Malta, Côte d’Azur, Antarctica and Chile. His duties range from selecting dive sites and organizing permits and piloting, to rinsing the sub with fresh water after a long day of diving,

“The real highlight for me is sharing the subsea wonders of the world with our guests. Volcanic pinnacles, sheer walls, majestic wrecks, a wide diversity of marine life and beautiful reefs all lie waiting to be discovered,” adds Remy. “I have had the honor to be a part of many people’s first-ever experience of being underwater. To me it’s all about people and their genuine reactions and emotions. The best feedback is not always given verbally. I will never forget the lady that fell asleep during the ascent after an incredible dive to the Antarctic seafloor. She told me that she was so relaxed from the calm ascent, serene setting and the experience of exploring the dream-like, underwater world, that she dozed off.”
